OVERVIEW
Apps for Good is an education technology charity that partners with schools and brands to provide free tech innovation courses for young people to learn skills that are essential for future work.
CHALLENGE
Apps for Good are one of those clients that we can’t get enough of, they are a small team constrained by tight budgets, tight timelines and a vast scope - and what’s better to get the creative juices flowing? We’ve worked with them at many points over the past few years to update their onboarding processes, create new brands assets, develop marketing strategies for both their in-person awards, and navigated COVID lockdowns for online awards. We’ve been with them for both their 5th and 10th anniversary celebrations.
APPROACH
We got really nosey. Originally Apps for Good knew they needed our help, but they didn’t know where to start, we identified their biggest pain points (getting more teachers signed up to the programme), together we created a better onboarding process and email funnel. Then we came back to support their social media for their special student focussed award ceremonies. In 2020 we spent a lot of time with their team, providing ongoing marketing support, and creating new content for their blog.
IMPACT
We helped the team build a better understanding of their product, their tone of voice, and the audiences that they were trying to reach. We were able to take a painfully manual onboarding process, and turn it into a very simple automated funnel that freed up the team to work on other important areas.
